Rah's Holiday Program

I was given this very "loved' pamphlet from another parent as I was late to arrive in my true Nicki fashion, but she was tired of me questioning her in attempts to see if  had missed Rah's Pre-K debut!

I had in fact not! It was a wonderful program and I arrived with time to spare to see my reindeer perform (antlers, nose, bells, and all). It was truly delightful as my job now prevents me from attending such functions as regularly as I would otherwise.

I was able to sneak up on my reindeer and get a few candid shots - see if you can find him on the stage; here's a hint. He's on the far far right of the screen.

Happy Holidays!

Jingle Jam

After church today the family and a few friends all met up at "Jingle Jam". Jingle Jam is an annual event held on base for soldiers and their families during the holidays to commemorate the festive spirit by bringing out everyone for some FREE fun!

At this year's Jingle Jam there was an ice skating rink (about a 10 x10 structure of synthetic ice set up outside for everyone to try) who knew, ice skating in Louisiana. Robert refused to skate and said, "I can't skate on that "sharp thing"! LOL

They also had "Trees for Troops" where they gave away free Christmas trees to soldiers and their families. We also had this program @ Bragg, but Darryl didn't want a tree :( (He's such a scrooge). Inside the building was an arsenal of free bees from sponsors like Old Navy, i.e. water bottles, t-shirts, and flip flops. There was also free food and all kinds of snacks. The children, big and small, were able to make and take ornaments and decorate holiday cookies. Darryl decorated a cookie in my likeness; he was into it too!

Check out my hair, eyebrows, and yes...I had chipped my tooth! But its fixed now! LOL
It was simply a blast.

As I stated earlier, we came directly from church and I had on 5" heels. Now I brought jeans to change into and even socks just in case I wanted to ice skate; but guess what I didn't bring? You got it....flats. So after being on my feet that long I would have put on those Old Navy flip flops had it not been for my white pants that would have subsequently dragged the ground, arrgggg! Sometimes it doesn't pay to be "vertically challenged". And to put on jeans simply to put on flip flops, mind you my toes are in serious "winter hibernation" - I just had to take one for the team ;) Darryl gave me a great foot massage when we got home.

The main attraction this year was of course Santa and the life sized Snow Globe of which you could enter and take pictures. Robert put in his last plea to Santa to get off the "naughty list" as he believes that he is getting "Santa Claus Naughty Rocks" i.e. coal due to his less than desirable behavior this year. He was really nervous, its was super cute and funny. So maybe "Santa" will have to reconsider after all...

Rah & Co.

Today was so nice out that I decided to take Rah and a few of his friends (Kaleima and Nakeima) out to the park. We were actually supposed to go to another event but I got the date wrong (it's tomorrow) so I had to think quick on my feet. We had super fun at the park, and I think I successfully tired everyone out enough for naps once we got home...I know I surely went to sleep after the fam all sat on the couch and watched some holiday favs on Netflix.

We actually slept so long that we missed Part II - Movie Night, oh well - there's always next time!
I dropped a quarter...its a recession!

Now accessorizing
